Chancel Choir
The North Christian Church Chancel Choir and the First Methodist Church Choir will present the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah at First Methodist on Sunday, December 11 at 9:00 am.
The Chancel Choir is open to anyone high-school age and above. They sing a wide range of literature, including chant, psalm settings, hymns from other traditions, English anthems, spirituals, and they collaborate with other choirs in the area for festivals.
Chancel choir rehearses every Thursday from 7:30 - 9:00 PM in the Music Suite and sings almost every Sunday during the school year. Their dedication is matched only by their love of sharing desserts made from persimmons after rehearsal, so come hungry (or with dessert).
