In the story of Joseph (Genesis 45:3-11, 15), Joseph forgives his brothers for the heinous ways they have treated him. Over the years, Christians have weaponized this story to keep victims of abuse silent about their experiences. The perspective and interpretation of the victim make all the difference in the world.
Based on Luke 6:27-38 and Genesis 45:3-11, 15.
