It is also probably the least understood. “Prodigal” means “wasteful.” Who is wasteful: the younger son, who wastes money and resources? The father, who wastes grace on his unrepentant son? Or the older brother, who wastes opportunity? And which character do you identify with? This Sunday, let us learn to Cultivate Abundance and Let Go of Excess.
